The other half and I found this spider outside our back door and yes it was as big as it looks. AND all that fuzzy stuff on her behind are her hundreds of babies!!! WE KILLED IT!
We sprayed it with raid and as soon as the other half did that the babies started crawling everywhere! I SCREAMED lol then got my broom, and precceded to smash the hell out of the floor for baby spiders I could not see that well lol. I THINK I got them all I THINK…
Virtually all spiders are absolutely harmless to humans under absolutely all circumstances, and wolf spiders especially. There is no chance that this animal or its young would have EVER bothered you. It was outside, minding its own business, protecting its babies. Even if you found it indoors there would have been utterly no reason to bother it. You would have never been bit, and if you had, you wouldn’t have even noticed.
Maybe you would have left her alone if you only knew better, but I don’t care anymore. I’m so weary from seeing childish bullshit like this that I can’t keep excusing ignorance. It should be common sense to live and let live.
In short, go fuck yourself. I’ll remember to mace you in the face and beat you with a broom if we ever cross paths. You never know, you could have bit me!
this is part of why I started adorablespiders, to help stop the needless killing of such wonderful creatures, the fact that the person killed the babies…
If I catch any of my friends doing this I will personally beat them. In the same way they killed the spider :/
What about people that are terrified of spiders? My friend can’t stand to be in a room that someone saw a spider in unless it’s killed or leaves. Even after they’re killed she has the person that killed it flush it down the toilet to make sure that it’s gone.
